Sakura East Meets West

The Sakura Limited Edition PC represents harmony and elegance through its design. The case features cherry blossoms blooming during the spring season, a hallmark scene in major Canadian cities, especially in Toronto and Vancouver where I grew up. I have always been inspired by Japanese animes that I grew up watching, and I wanted to capture this artistic style in the design of Sakura. I chose watercolours as a medium to represent the lightness and tranquility of the trees – the tree branches and flowers wrap around to illuminate the powerful components of Sakura.

A Unique Combination Of Textures And Scenes

Sakura uses an array of vibrant colours and textures that bring life to a spring scene of cherry blossom flowers blooming. I used soft brush strokes for the petals to emulate the calming aura of Sakura trees. This is contrasted with the more clouded texture used in the background, invoking a light Vancouver mountain fog behind the tree’s branches.

The front panel of Sakura is engraved by a high powered state of the art 3D laser, while the rear panel is a custom vinyl wrap, specially fitted for Sakura.
